About the Role
The Registered Nurse (RN) in our Cardiovascular Critical Care department plays a critical role in caring for critically ill patients with complex cardiac conditions. As an RN on this unit, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide individualized care to each patient.
Responsibilities
- Care for critically ill patients with complex cardiac conditions, including those requiring invasive hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive medications.
- Participate in daily multidisciplinary patient-focused rounds to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with the coronary care multidisciplinary team, which includes cardiologists and medical residents, as well as the cardiac surgery multidisciplinary team, inclusive of attending surgeons and PA's.
Requirements
- BSN required or commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of date of hire.
- Must have experience caring for high acuity patients.
- At least two years of stepdown experience required.
- Previous critical care experience preferred.
- BLS required.
- ACLS and cardiac dysrhythmia proficiency required.
- Delaware RN licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Delaware.
