The Automotive Parts Specialist is tasked with extracting components from decommissioned vehicles, ensuring that each part is accurately labeled, organized, and prepared for customer sales. This role demands a solid mechanical understanding, keen attention to detail, and the capability to thrive in a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize hand and power tools to identify and extract parts from salvaged vehicles.
  • Possess knowledge of automotive components.
  • Examine and test parts to confirm their operational integrity.
  • Correctly label and categorize parts for efficient storage and retrieval.
  • Maintain precise inventory records and monitor parts movement.
  • Build and nurture positive relationships with customers and suppliers to foster repeat business.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations governing salvage yard operations.
  • Uphold a safe and organized work environment, enforcing safety protocols and compliance with environmental standards.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by management.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in auto dismantling or parts pulling is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong mechanical skills and proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate documentation.
  • Capacity to operate in a fast-paced setting and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with regulations pertaining to salvage yards is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license is necessary.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Capability to stand for prolonged periods.
  • Willingness to work in varying weather conditions.
