Job Title: Neurohospitalist Position - Glen Burnie, MD

University of Maryland Medical System is seeking an experienced Neurohospitalist to join our team at Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie, MD.



About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated Neurohospitalist to join our team in providing exceptional patient care in the acute inpatient setting.


Responsibilities will include:



  • Providing comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients with neurologic conditions
  • Routine inpatient consults in the ICU, med floors, and Emergency Department
  • Working closely with a team of physicians and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction


Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess:



  • A medical degree and completion of a neurology residency program
  • Current Board Certification or Board eligibility in Neurology
  • Current license to practice medicine in the State of Maryland or ability to acquire an unrestricted license
  • Current DEA or similar Narcotics and Controlled Substances Certification
  • Appropriate clinical privileges at a UMMS affiliated acute care facility
