Job Title: CDL-A Driver Position

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled CDL-A driver to join our team. As a CDL-A driver, you will be responsible for delivering and unloading food and food-related products to customers in a safe and timely manner. This is a critical role in our company's food supply chain, and we are looking for someone who is reliable, efficient, and customer-focused.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes to deliver and unload food and food-related products to customers.
  • Perform all required safety checks, including pre- and post-trip inspections, to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally to ensure questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
  • Report all safety issues and/or repairs required.
  • Perform damage control checks on items, scan, and contact supervisor about removing orders according to company policy.
  • Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures.
  • Collect money (cash or checks) where required.
  • Load customer returns onto trailer and secure trailer doors.
  • Unload damaged goods and customer returns and bring to the driver check-in and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area, and keep trailers clear and clean as required.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
  • 6+ months commercial driving experience in a tractor trailer
  • Valid CDL-A Must be 21+ years of age
  • Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test

Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position that requires working a variety of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends. The driver will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to lift and move products of varying size and weight. The driver will also be required to work in a variety of weather conditions and be able to handle physical demands of the job.
