Under the supervision of nursing staff, the Dialysis Clinical Technician is responsible for the monitoring and direct care of patients on hemodialysis. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities- Monitor patients on an ongoing basis and communicate information to appropriate team members
- Work as a member of the interdisciplinary team caring for the dialysis patient
- Provide direct care to patients, including administering medications and performing dialysis treatments
- Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement patient care plans
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and new technologies
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
- Nursing Assistant (NA), Medical Assistant (MA), or other healthcare experience preferred
- Must successfully complete the Greenfield Health Systems dialysis training program
- Certification as a dialysis technician must be obtained (and maintained) within designated timeline of 18 months, in accordance with federal regulation
