Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for providing nursing services to patients in a variety of settings, including weekday day, evening, and night shifts, as well as weekend and holiday shifts. You will be required to work on an on-call basis and be available to accept requests for services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Responsibilities:- Provide nursing services to patients in a variety of settings
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care
- Be available to accept requests for services 24 hours a day, seven days a week
- Work on an on-call basis
- Provide backup personnel for any nurse who calls in absent for their assigned shift
- Provide a replacement nurse within eight hours for regular requests
- Report any nurse who is deficient in the performance of an assignment to the Office of General Services (OGS)
- Licensed and/or certified by the New York State Education Department
- Must have telephone coverage and be available to accept requests for services 24 hours a day, seven days a week
- Must be able to work on an on-call basis
- Must be able to provide backup personnel for any nurse who calls in absent for their assigned shift
- Must be able to provide a replacement nurse within eight hours for regular requests
