Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing nursing services to patients in a variety of settings, including weekday day, evening, and night shifts, as well as weekend and holiday shifts. You will be required to work on an on-call basis and be available to accept requests for services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing services to patients in a variety of settings
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Be available to accept requests for services 24 hours a day, seven days a week
  • Work on an on-call basis
  • Provide backup personnel for any nurse who calls in absent for their assigned shift
  • Provide a replacement nurse within eight hours for regular requests
  • Report any nurse who is deficient in the performance of an assignment to the Office of General Services (OGS)
Requirements:
  • Licensed and/or certified by the New York State Education Department
  • Must have telephone coverage and be available to accept requests for services 24 hours a day, seven days a week
  • Must be able to work on an on-call basis
  • Must be able to provide backup personnel for any nurse who calls in absent for their assigned shift
  • Must be able to provide a replacement nurse within eight hours for regular requests
