Job Summary

The Excellerate Electrician QAQC Specialist is a key member of our team, responsible for delivering quality control services and ensuring the highest standards of quality in our electrical planning, engineering, and technology services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct quality inspections for layout conduit systems, various lighting systems, and basic control systems and feeders.
  • Conduct quality inspections of installation of manufactured products.
  • Identify potential quality issues from review of construction documents (drawings, submittals, specs, etc).
  • Analyze startup/commissioning schedule.
  • Analyze upcoming tasks and anticipate equipment installation standards, checklist procedures, and training.
  • Demonstrate the ability to complete an overall quality inspection for projects of limited scope and size.
  • Lead small crews (2-5 electricians) and perform safety checks on job sites, maintaining compliance with company safety policies, LOTO procedures, OSHA, and customer-specific safety standards.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer relations through effective problem-solving techniques.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams internally and externally to develop and refine organizational processes related to job site quality and commissioning.
  • Provide valid statistical information and applicable analyses to the commissioning foreman regarding on-site quality, commissioning, and startup procedures/schedule.
  • Provide guidance to employees, project supervisors, and management on matters concerning on-site quality and commissioning.
  • Conduct job site or on-site coaching and development of employees (related to audits and/or to assist with novel work or jobs in crisis).
  • Perform Project Expectations Review (a review of key essential planning elements that support project success) with project leadership and provide feedback, recommended corrective actions to the Project Managers, Work Crew members, as well as key Management leadership personnel and support functions.
  • Have the ability to plan for, complete, and implement assignments and responsibilities in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate an acceptance of the company culture (adhering to company values) and an adoption of professional standards.
  • Demonstrate approachability and ability to collaborate with others and effectively influence.
  • Develop relationships with leaders, direct reports, and/or others that facilitate open dialogue and trust.
  • Define work to be done; clearly communicate vision, objectives, and tasks to appropriate individuals. Delegate tasks to appropriate parties; clearly communicate needs and expectations. Measure and monitor the work of individual direct reports and/or collective team/taskforce team(s). Coach and motivate direct reports/appropriate individuals to effectively perform; remove barriers to success and provide feedback, necessary resources, and open communication.
  • Assist in data collection for Short Circuit Arc Flash Studies.
  • Promote 5S manufacturing when working through production quality improvements.
  • Participate in process improvements and drive efficiencies into the quality process.
  • Actively participate in Faith's hiring referral and mentoring program, as appropriate.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience: 5+ years of electrical experience and/or quality experience
  • Travel: 0-10% based on company need
  • Work Schedule: Between the hours of 6 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. Ability to work a flexible schedule is necessary. May vary based on customer demands and can include, but is not limited to: nights, weekends, and holidays.
