Key Responsibilities:
The following duties are essential for this role:

  • Conduct mechanical repairs on a variety of highway vehicles and heavy machinery, utilizing manuals and parts catalogs to ensure adherence to proper repair techniques and safety protocols.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes and lubrication, to comply with the Preventative Maintenance Program.
  • Procure necessary parts and supplies as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the equipment repair shop; service tools and shop equipment to promote a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Execute any additional tasks necessary to ensure the operational efficiency of equipment.

Qualifications:
A high school diploma or GED is required, along with a minimum of two years of relevant experience in equipment maintenance and repair. ASE Certification is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
The role necessitates the ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, push, pull, and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds. Candidates should be prepared for exposure to challenging health and safety conditions.

Daily responsibilities may involve significant risks, including potential for serious injury or exposure to hazardous environments or severe weather.

Compensation for minimally qualified applicants begins at 25% of the salary range: $21.55/hr.

All selected candidates must successfully complete a drug screening prior to employment.
