Job Summary:
A-Line Staffing Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Consultant to join our team, specializing in individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism (IDA) with comorbid mental illness (MI), challenging behaviors, and problematic sexual behavior.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Case Management: Oversee and coordinate clinical case management and emergency interventions for individuals with IDA and MI. Collaborate with community and ICF/ID systems to enhance clinical resource utilization and build capacity.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with providers, Administrative Entities (AEs), Health Care Quality Units (HCQUs), and other stakeholders to facilitate collaborative practices and support for dual diagnosis individuals.
- Policy Development: Develop and implement Bureau policies and procedures for clinical services addressing IDA, autism, and problematic sexual behaviors.
- Training and Development: Partner with Positive Practices training leads and Agency Training Division to identify and deliver clinical training needs.
- Data Analysis: Analyze quality and risk management data to identify and implement strategies for system improvement.
- Field Support: Travel to participate in field activities, transition planning, and support teams for individuals in integrated community settings.
- Resource Connection: Maintain knowledge of regional and statewide community resources, providing technical assistance and referrals as needed.
- Incident Review and Reporting: Review and document behavioral incidents, contributing to monthly reports and participating in diversion calls.
- Technical Assistance: Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to various entities regarding IDA and co-occurring MI.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate degree in Human Services (psychology, nursing, social work, or a related field).
- Experience: Minimum of six (6) years of clinical experience working with children or individuals across the lifespan with IDA and MI, including those with challenging behaviors and problematic sexual behaviors.
- Communication Skills: Proven ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written English, including proficiency with email, word processing, and data systems.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with Positive Practices/Approaches and the Recovery Model frameworks in Pennsylvania.
- Collaboration: Experience working with multiple stakeholders and facilitating collaborative practices.
- Technical Skills: Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
- Travel: Ability to travel and spend time in the field as required.
Additional Skills:
- Expertise in analyzing quality/risk management data.
- Experience in policy and procedure development.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
