TLC Nursing is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in OB/GYN. This is a 13-week contract with 36 hours per week, working 12-hour night shifts.

Job Description

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive care to obstetric patients throughout their pregnancy, labor, and delivery, and postpartum period. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing and monitoring the physical, emotional, and educational needs of obstetric patients
  • Providing care and support to patients during labor and delivery
  • Administering medications and monitoring vital signs as needed
  • Assisting with cesarean sections and other surgical procedures
  • Educating patients and their families about pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Documenting patient care in the medical record
  • Maintaining a safe and clean environment in the obstetric unit

Qualifications include:

  • Current RN license
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an OB Nurse
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in high-stress situations
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
