Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day financial operations within ITS Finance. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting principles, analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities. As a trusted partner, you will work closely with diverse teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and efficient financial processes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supervise Accounting Assistants: Oversee the work of accounting assistants or technicians assigned to a financial unit, ensuring timely completion of tasks and maintaining high-quality standards.
  2. Monitor Financial Operations: Review and analyze financial data, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to maintain compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  3. Train and Develop Staff: Provide training and guidance to staff on financial procedures, best practices, and new technologies, ensuring they have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.
  4. Develop Reports and Dashboards: Collect and format data for special projects and management studies, preparing various financial reports and dashboards to support strategic decision-making.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Related Field: A degree in accounting or a related field is required, along with relevant work experience.
  • Senior Bookkeeping/Accounting Experience: Proven experience in senior bookkeeping or accounting roles, with direct application of college study.
  • Strong Analytical and Communication Skills: Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to train, evaluate, and supervise staff members.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Financial Systems: Proficiency in Excel and other financial systems, including Workday and University financial systems.
