The CT Technologist plays a vital role in the diagnostic imaging department, performing a variety of CT scan imaging procedures to diagnose medical conditions. This position requires the ability to operate CT scan equipment to produce high-quality images for detecting pathology and abnormalities in patients.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain consent and prepare patients for CT scans
- Explain procedures to patients and ensure their comfort and safety
- Operate CT scan equipment to produce high-quality images
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 90 days of employment start date
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT) certification
- State Registered Radiologic Technician certification
- Associate Degree or Certificate in Radiologic Technology
HCA Florida Mercy Hospital is a 488-bed facility accredited by the Joint Commission. We offer a wide range of medical specialties, including emergency care, heart and vascular care, and maternity and neonatal care. Our facility is designated as a Primary Stroke Center and is CARF accredited for inpatient rehabilitation. We are affiliated with HCA Florida Healthcare Division and sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of St. Augustine, Florida.
