Job Description

AKS Engineering & Forestry is seeking a professional civil engineer to lead industrial project engineering efforts in our Tualatin, Oregon office. As a full-time Industrial Project Engineer, you will work closely with our principals and multidisciplinary task leads on the delivery of large-scale industrial construction projects. This role is ideal for a registered professional who can take the lead on design of high-tech industrial land development projects and can independently manage projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all components of the project from proposal through construction.
  • Develop and manage project scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Perform site and infrastructure design per county/city standards and maintain good communication with the planning/engineering staff of the jurisdiction to minimize future changes and misunderstandings.
  • Provide technical leadership for project design team.
  • Coordinate with other in-house disciplines, as well as outside subconsultants to prepare appropriate designs, as dictated by the project scope of work.
  • Analyze complex design problems requiring the implementation and/or development of new or improved techniques or procedures.
  • Manage and mentor engineering staff to develop plans, specifications, and reports.
  • Stamp final deliverables.
  • Provide QA/QC review of deliverables.
  • Network with clients, agency personnel, and colleagues to build/maintain professional network.
  • Maintain relationships with clients to develop future opportunities.
  • Actively participate in monthly in-house Project Management Meetings.
  • Drive company-owned vehicle to job sites and meetings.
