Medical Specimen Collector

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Medical Specimen Collector to join our team at Quest Diagnostics. As a Medical Specimen Collector, you will be responsible for collecting blood and other specimens from patients in a variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, and laboratories.

Responsibilities:

• Collect blood and other specimens from patients using a variety of techniques, including venipuncture and capillary puncture.
• Label and package specimens for transport to the laboratory for testing.
• Communicate with patients and healthcare providers to ensure accurate and efficient specimen collection.
• Maintain accurate records of specimen collection and processing.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical training or experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain accurate records.
