As a Senior Taxation Analyst, you will take charge of preparing income tax accruals and calculations, along with related filings for designated entities.

Your responsibilities will also include managing tax controversy issues, which encompass federal and state tax examinations, notice responses, and documenting significant tax positions.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare income tax accruals based on various accounting standards, including IFRS (IAS 12) and, as applicable, either US GAAP (ASC 740) or insurance statutory (SSAP 101).
  • Conduct quarterly and annual federal and state income and/or indirect tax calculations and related filings.
  • Prepare and review necessary financial statement analytics.
  • Oversee federal and state tax examination and notice responses, including tracking, research, coordination, and formulation.
  • Document significant tax positions and prepare supporting work papers for tax filings and income tax accruals.
  • Assist in budgeting and preparing tax-related financial projections.
  • Communicate and collaborate with various departments and external auditors and service providers.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a Master's in Taxation.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting for income taxes (either IFRS or US GAAP) and tax return compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Results-driven approach with a focus on cross-functional execution.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
  • Experience in financial services and/or insurance tax and statutory accounting.
  • Familiarity with SAP and/or Corptax.
