Sanitation Maintenance Worker

Hannaford Supermarkets is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Maintenance Worker to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our stores, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our customers and employees.
Responsibilities- Maintain the cleanliness of the breakroom and all restrooms, ensuring they are clean and well-stocked at all times.
- Sweep and damp mop all floors daily, paying close attention to high-traffic areas.
- Respond promptly to spills and clean up any messes throughout your shift.
- Empty all trash and recyclables inside and outside the store, ensuring a clean and tidy appearance.
- Schedule rotation and cleaning of the dairy shelves, ensuring they are clean and well-stocked at all times.
- Schedule cleaning of the glass dairy and frozen food doors, ensuring they are clean and free of streaks.
- Sweep the parking lot with designated equipment, ensuring it is clean and safe for customers.
- Perform minor repairs of equipment and fixtures as needed, ensuring they are in good working order.
- Shovel and salt sidewalks as needed, ensuring they are safe and clear of ice and snow.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and established procedures, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
- Maintain company standards and programs for safety, fire prevention, and security, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all.
- Maintain productivity levels at or above company standards, ensuring efficient and effective work practices.
- Treat all co-workers with fairness, dignity, and respect, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Maintain good communication with the management team and associates, ensuring open and effective communication.
- Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience for all customers.
- Communicate any needed repairs and/or maintenance work needed, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
- Maintain a quality of performance of all specific duties and responsibilities assigned, ensuring high-quality work and results.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with a desire to work in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
- Must meet minimum age requirements, as specified by company policy.
- Flexible schedule needed, with ability to work varied shifts and hours.
- Stand/walk 100% of the time, with frequent reaching and lifting of cleaning materials and equipment.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and squatting, with ability to handle a variety of cleaning materials and substances.
- Lift up to 40 lbs. approximately 50% of the time, with ability to push/pull up to 40 lbs. regularly.
- Maintain cleanliness and conditions of the internal and external store and property, ensuring a clean and safe environment for all.
- Maintain cleanliness and conditions of the equipment used in the performance of this job function, ensuring they are in good working order.
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
