Position Overview:
The Culinary Operations Manager is tasked with delivering direct assistance, guidance, and oversight of the Culinary Department in communities facing staffing gaps, ensuring the maintenance of culinary excellence until a permanent replacement is appointed. This role also encompasses training new hires, conducting audits, and completing specialized projects. The Culinary Operations Manager will travel daily to designated communities and will be available on call around the clock.
Required Qualifications for Culinary Operations Manager:
A minimum of three years in a management role along with three years of experience as a Sous Chef is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office within a Windows environment is required, with an ability to learn company-specific software. Familiarity with Yardi, Teams, Smartsheet, and OneDrive is advantageous.Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the community leader during staffing shortages, overseeing daily culinary operations, including meal preparation, service, safety, sanitation practices, supply ordering, and labor scheduling. Maintain accurate records for all culinary department-related activities. Supervise culinary staff to ensure adherence to quality standards. Manage the budget effectively to keep the community aligned with financial goals. Provide 24/7 on-call support for any emergencies that may arise within the community. Facilitate hands-on training for all new culinary leaders. Coordinate with the home office team to ensure a seamless transition for outgoing and incoming culinary team members. Foster a positive work atmosphere that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and effective communication among team members. Conduct audits to ensure compliance with company standards. Support leaders with ongoing training initiatives. Perform additional duties as required within the scope of this role. Travel to assigned communities daily, which may involve overnight stays, including weekends.Skills for Success:

General Working Conditions:
