Job Title: Staff Nutritionist

CIFC Health's Regional WIC Program is seeking a full-time Staff Nutritionist to assist with nutrition-related program components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nutrition and experience working with vulnerable populations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Program Nutritionist with nutrition education and WIC certification
  • Provide nutritional counseling and education to clients
  • Evaluate and update nutrition education plans
  • Conduct WIC nutrition assessments and determine nutritional risk
  • Assign and tailor WIC food packages for participants
  • Assure proper certification of eligible applicants
  • Implement the nutrition and breastfeeding promotion and support component of the local agency plan
  • Meet State and local objectives
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Foods and Nutrition, Community Nutrition, Nutrition Education, or Nutritional Sciences
  • Registered Dietitian (R.D.) or eligibility with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • State license or certification as a nutritionist/dietitian
