Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our team at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital New Brunswick. As a key member of our cardiovascular team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and technical expertise in a fast-paced cath lab environment.

Responsibilities
  • Certification and Licensure
    • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
    • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) or New Jersey License or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification is accepted.
  • Job Details
    • This is a 13-week contract position with a flexible schedule, including 3x12s or 4x10s shifts.
    • Local candidates are accepted, but first-time travelers are not eligible for this opportunity.
  • Requirements
    • At least one year of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist is required.
    • AART or NJ License or RCIS certification is accepted.
    • Technical skills include scrubbing, diagnostic right and left heart cath, interventional cath, CTO, structural heart, ablations, and devices.
    • Equipment experience is required, including sterile procedure and equipment setup, rotablator, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), closure devices, balloon inflator, and stents.
  • Schedule Information
    • Shift times are 7am-7:30pm, with flexible scheduling options.
    • No block schedules are allowed.
    • On-call responsibilities include every 2-3 weekends, with Friday evening to Sunday morning shifts.
  • Additional Details
    • Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital New Brunswick observes a holiday policy, requiring employees to work two out of three holidays.
