Cafe Host

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Cafe Host to join our team at LEGOLAND Discovery Centre. As a Cafe Host, you will play a key role in creating lifelong memorable experiences for our guests. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver exceptional guest service, presentation, and product knowledge in our small, themed cafes.

• Adopt an enthusiastic, assertive, and passionate approach to Guest Service, and demonstrate the Merlin Values at every opportunity.
• Seek out guest contact and display enthusiasm and boundless amounts of fun energy.
• Maintain a strong sales approach, maximizing sales goal targets.
• Ensure the queue lines are managed in a safe way while still delivering an excellent guest experience.
• Be comfortable and enjoy speaking to a variety of guests, visitors, and team members.
• Ensure all public areas have well-stocked displays and point of sale, ready for the attraction opening and that the areas are maintained and kept in a clean and tidy manner throughout the day.
• Follow opening and closing procedures as detailed in the department's operating plan.
• Ensure compliance of Health, Safety & Security within the workplace, including COVID-19 policies, practices, and regulations.
• Position may require standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching repetitively or for extended periods of time.

• 6 months – 1 year experience working in food service/concessions, attractions, entertainment, or customer service-based positions preferred.
• Fun, dynamic, and friendly personality.
• Excellent communication and listening skills with both team members and guests.
• Able to work in areas with loud noises and confined spaces.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently or as part of a team, with strong problem-solving skills to remedy guest questions or concerns.
• Must be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
