ER Travel Nurse Job Description

We're seeking a skilled Emergency Room RN for a travel nurse position in a fast-paced, urgent environment. The ideal candidate should have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and be able to work effectively in a team setting.

As an ER Travel Nurse, you will be responsible for evaluating, triaging, and implementing care using correct procedures and physician instructions. You should have experience and skill caring for patients in a dynamic, emergency environment.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing basic bedside care.
  • Cleaning and bandaging wounds.
  • Administering IV therapy.
  • Maintaining supplies and medical equipment.
  • Reporting suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.


ER Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods, as well as bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty. They should also be able to lift up to 50 pounds and possess good coping skills for managing stress in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:
  • ACLS certification.
  • BLS certification.
  • PALS certification.
  • TNCC certification.
  • NIH certification.
  • 2 years of experience.


Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
