Position Overview
An exciting opportunity has emerged for a Manufacturing Project Engineer to become part of our esteemed abatement solutions team. You will be based at our advanced facility, working alongside a team of dedicated engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the timely execution of all manufacturing engineering tasks related to new product introductions (NPI) or distributed manufacturing initiatives.
- Present project updates during phase gate reviews.
- Conduct risk assessments with stakeholders to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Collaborate with the PME lead to enhance manufacturing engineering systems and documentation.
- Develop production work instructions and manage processes including sub-assembly, final assembly, testing, and dispatch.
- Oversee improvement projects, ensuring deliverables are met for NPI stage gate reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Implement continuous improvement methodologies such as 5S, Kaizen, and SPC to optimize operations.
- Utilize problem-solving techniques for root cause analysis and address internal and external nonconformities.
Qualifications
- A degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a minimum of three years of relevant experience is essential.
- Proven experience in continuous improvement projects and familiarity with methodologies such as TPM, SMED, and 8D problem solving.
- Skilled in creating and maintaining manufacturing process documentation.
- Experience with NPI processes, including PFMEA and DFM.
- Demonstrated ability to lead initial build activities and training.
- Strong initiative and resource management skills.
- A track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
