  • Repairs, cleans, and lubricates machines, equipment, or structures using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, and precision measuring instruments or electrical testing devices.
  • Assembles, installs, or repairs wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
  • Plans and organizes repair work using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.
  • May align and balance new equipment following installation.
  • May perform general maintenance or repairs on the facility, including grounds upkeep.
  • Ensures all work is performed in compliance with established standards and safety protocols.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment free from foreign materials.
  • Participates in training and cross-training initiatives as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills Required

  • Experience as an industrial maintenance technician or mechanic.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and apply information from manuals or catalogs.
  • Proficient in using a wide range of tools (both manual and power).
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

  • Exhibits a high level of quality in workmanship.
  • Possesses basic math, reading, and reasoning skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrates the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Exhibits multi-tasking abilities to adjust priorities based on manufacturing demands.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively.
  • This position does not entail supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Requirements

This role is situated in an industrial/production environment, with exposure to:

  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Regularly standing for extended periods.
  • Steadiness of hand and arm while performing tasks.
  • Manual dexterity for grasping, manipulating, or assembling objects.
  • Regularly lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Using hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Ability to see details at close range.
  • Exposure to typical noise levels in a manufacturing environment.
  • Coordinated finger movements for handling small objects.
  • Intermittent exposure to varying temperatures.
  • Working in proximity to moving mechanical parts and machinery.
