We are seeking a skilled Patient Transporter to join our team at University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health. As a Patient Transporter, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting patients to and from various treatment areas, while maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Responsibilities
  • Transport patients of various weights, ages, and sizes to and from beds and ambulatory devices, using proper body mechanics to ensure patient comfort and safety.
  • Interact with patients from toddlers to geriatric, with all types of illnesses, and provide direct observation to ensure patient safety.
  • Secure, return, and maintain designated supplies and equipment.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of proper body mechanics.
  • Previous experience in a hospital setting preferred.
  • Ability to effectively convey verbal and written information, follow directions, organize and manage time effectively, and respond to emergency situations appropriately.
