We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Senior Litigation and Bankruptcy Counsel to enhance our established legal team.
About Us:
At Jobot, we value authenticity and encourage our team members to be their true selves in a supportive environment. Our focus is primarily on the real estate mortgage sector, collaborating with lenders, brokers, and loan originators, predominantly in a non-bank context.
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $195,000 annually, commensurate with experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:
- 100% coverage for medical, vision, and dental expenses.
- A 401k/profit-sharing plan with a 3% contribution from the firm after one year of employment.
- Competitive salary based on experience.
- Discretionary annual bonuses based on performance.
Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Litigation and Bankruptcy Counsel will be responsible for:
- Representing clients in legal proceedings, including court appearances and interactions with government agencies.
- Interpreting relevant laws, rulings, and regulations in the fields of litigation, bankruptcy, real estate, and creditor rights.
- Analyzing potential case outcomes based on legal precedents.
- Developing strategies and arguments for case presentations.
- Providing legal advice on business transactions, liability claims, and legal rights.
- Negotiating settlements for civil disputes.
- Conducting thorough legal research to support case preparation.
- Mentoring and supervising junior attorneys and legal staff.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to practice law and good standing with a state bar association.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in litigation, bankruptcy, real estate, and creditor rights.
- A proven track record of effective representation in legal matters.
- Strong negotiation, research, and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- The capacity to manage a substantial caseload under pressure.
- Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for building relationships with clients and colleagues.
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional discretion.
