About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sub-Investigator to join our team at Wake Research. As a key member of our research staff, you will be responsible for providing oversight in medical and clinical issues, working closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) to evaluate clinical trials and ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practices (GCP).

This role is ideal for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in clinical research and experience as a licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of research studies, conducting study-related physical exams, following up with participants, and ensuring the accurate completion of visit procedures.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate complex information to participants and their caregivers.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to conduct study-related physical exams and follow-up visits.
  • Ensure that all clinical activities are carried out in accordance with established research protocols and standards.
  • Maintain proper documentation in accordance with GCP.
  • Communicate with participants and their caregivers regarding study procedures and results.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree required.
  • Licensed APRN with successful completion of an accredited program.
  • Current license to practice in the state of hire.
  • No history of license suspension or debarment.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications; PALS required if pediatric experience needed.
  • Trained in phlebotomy, additional pediatric experience preferred.
  • Experience in bedside procedures is preferred.
  • 2 years of clinical practice experience required.
  • 2 years of clinical research experience as a sub-investigator preferred.

Estimated Salary: $76,000 - $91,000 per year based on location and experience.
