Job Summary

The Yard Associate is responsible for moving equipment in and out of the yard, ensuring the orderly placement of equipment, and safely loading and unloading equipment. This role also involves using power wash bay equipment for washing and detailing equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate and support the Kirby Smith vision and core values
  • Load and unload equipment safely
  • Prepare shipping documents promptly and accurately
  • Organize and maintain machine keys
  • Maintain the status of equipment in the yard
  • Maintain an orderly organization of equipment and attachments
  • Wash, clean, and make equipment ready using the wash bay
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Six (6) months of experience in a related position
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Knowledge and ability to operate heavy construction equipment experience preferred
  • Basic mechanical knowledge related to heavy industrial construction equipment
Physical Requirements
  • Pushing/Pulling/Lifting/Carrying up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • Physical ability to squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb, and reach overhead
  • Must be able to work in extreme heat, cold, wet, damp, dusty, or windy conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises, hazardous materials, and fumes/odors
  • Physical ability to climb on and climb off heavy equipment
  • Adheres to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintains individual PPE to ensure functionality
