Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neurologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in neurology, excellent clinical skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Recommend procedures governing patient care in accordance with generally accepted standards of professional practice of Neurology.
- Record patient history, perform physical examinations, prescribe treatment and medication for conditions falling in the scope of his/her specialty following evidence-based medicine.
- Provide relevant information about the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) and Chronic Care Management program (CCM) to patients.
- Obtain a waiver for Medically Assisted Treatment for those suffering substance use disorders.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, including Medical Record Peer Review, performance and procedure audits, outcome audits, and focused reviews.
- Coordinate tests, referrals, and care of LISH patients outside the Health Center.
- Ensure prompt follow-up action on patients with abnormal test results or physical findings.
- Set standards for preventive care and diagnostic screening within his/her specialty.
- M.D./D.O. Board Certified in Neurology.
- Must be licensed by and currently registered with the New York State Department of Education.
- Basic Life Support certification.
