This will be a faculty appointment within the medical school at the Associate or Full Professor level.

Candidates from underrepresented backgrounds and those who will advance diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice through their teaching and service are strongly encouraged to apply.

About the Role

This faculty position is focused on building a research program targeting the unique qualities and specialized areas of the David Farber ASPIRE Center and help it to grow into a premier suicide prevention program in the region. The successful candidate will have the ability and desire to be a foundational research team member of the center and build an independent and sustainable research trajectory in suicide prevention.

The academic center is focused on suicide prevention research and education; however, the center will also include outpatient clinical operations and function as a satellite to the larger outpatient psychiatric practice housed within the department. The clinic provides an intentional focus on family and family-based intervention. Faculty will have the potential to utilize this clinical setting for research inquiry.

Strong candidates will have a strong background in Psychology, Neuroscience, Public Health, or any other discipline that effectively aligns with the overall focus of the center. They will have a proven track record of conducting high-quality research, with a focus on suicide prevention.
