Commercial Solar Facility Technician

Americos Solar Operations & Maintenance Group has a new opportunity for an Electrician in the Roanoke, Virginia area. The ideal candidate will have experience with inspecting, troubleshooting and maintaining commercial or utility solar facilities.

The salary range for this position is $35-$42 per hour, with a $5,000 sign on bonus offered. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including people-oriented insurance, investment, and incentive plans.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Inspecting and maintaining solar site equipment such as solar panels, inverters, transformers, breakers, switchgear, and SCADA equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing electrical/electronic equipment.
  • Completing written and electronic records required to document the work in progress and as it is completed.
  • Supervising and training apprentice electricians/coworkers to teach proper, safe use of tools and maintenance procedures.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, minimum of 2 years experience of industrial solar electric/electronic maintenance experience, Current State Journeyman's Electrical License, and Valid Drivers' License in good standing.
