We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Specialist to join our team at a local distribution company. As a Credit Specialist, you will be responsible for performing credit and accounting functions, working closely with customers and sales teams to ensure timely payments and maintain accurate credit status.
Key Responsibilities- Manage credit holds and negotiate mutually beneficial solutions with customers.
- Conduct weekly collection calls and follow up on promised payments.
- Review and maintain credit status on assigned accounts, identifying inactive accounts and notifying sales teams.
- Process credit/debit memos and rebill requests, ensuring accuracy and duplication.
- Compile new customer packets, securing credit applications and credit reports, and assigning limits and terms within policy guidelines.
- Communicate potential collection issues to the Credit Manager and maintain confidential files.
- Provide support to Customer Service and Sales teams regarding current accounts and provide proof of delivery and invoice requests as needed.
