Position Overview:
The University of Pittsburgh Physicians Heart and Vascular Institute, alongside the Department of Surgery's Division of Vascular Surgery, is seeking a fellowship-trained, board-certified or board-eligible vascular surgeon. This role is available at the academic ranks of Assistant, Associate, or Professor, with open tenure within a well-established academic group that boasts extensive residency and fellowship training programs.
Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will engage in a dual role as a vascular surgeon within the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute (HVI) and the University of Pittsburgh Department of Surgery. Responsibilities will encompass clinical practice, research initiatives, and educational duties. The candidate will also be involved in outreach programs aimed at enhancing inpatient and outpatient services across the HVI service area.
As a faculty member, the successful applicant will contribute to the research and educational objectives of the HVI, fostering a collaborative environment.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility
- Proven track record of excellent clinical outcomes
- Experience in teaching or mentoring medical students and residents
- Eligibility for medical licensure in Pennsylvania
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience
