Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in various tasks that contribute to patient care within the Food & Nutrition Department.
  • Responsibilities include assembling and delivering patient meal trays, preparing food items, helping patients with their meal selections, cleaning dishes, and performing other assigned sanitation duties.
  • Participating in the stocking of groceries on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Engaging directly with patients and being comfortable entering patient rooms is crucial.
  • Emphasizing outstanding customer service, effective communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Supporting procurement activities, organizing deliveries, managing inventory, and transferring supplies during renovation periods.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Proficiency in English and capability to measure and document food temperatures.
  • Experience: Familiarity with computer systems for meal ordering and a preference for prior experience in customer service roles.
  • (A combination of education and experience may satisfy the above criteria).

Licensure/Certification:

  • Must obtain a food handlers permit from the Cleveland County Health Department prior to employment or within the first week of hire.
