Department: Contribution Accounting

Position Overview

The Manager of Contribution Accounting oversees accounts receivable fund operations and enhances client services, ensuring compliance with company policies, client requirements, and regulatory standards.

"Possesses the minimum necessary access to Protected Health Information (PHI) and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) as per Job Description/Role."


Primary Responsibilities

  • Provides daily guidance and leadership to the team, aligning with management principles and organizational mission.
  • Delegates, distributes, and assesses the quality and volume of work produced, ensuring accountability for meeting established standards.
  • Fosters employee development through performance evaluations, goal setting, training initiatives, and effective interpersonal relations.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of assigned Plans and applies this knowledge effectively.
  • Streamlines workflows, processes, tools, and personnel allocation to ensure efficient and cost-effective daily operations.
  • Addresses customer/client service challenges and aids in the successful onboarding of new clients.
  • Responds to inquiries and requests from clients, regulatory bodies, unions, participants, legal representatives, and consultants.
  • Maintains effective communication and collaborative relationships with management, staff, clients, regulatory bodies, unions, participants, legal representatives, and consultants.
  • Reviews and approves employee timecards and leave requests; ensures accuracy in labor allocations and payroll processing.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, management, or a related field and two years of relevant experience in areas such as bookkeeping, finance, banking, accounting, or benefits administration.

Or

  • High school diploma and six years of relevant experience in areas such as bookkeeping, finance, banking, accounting, or benefits administration.
  • Four years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Strong organizational abilities with a keen attention to detail and the capacity to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to engage with all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a third-party administration, insurance, or health and welfare sector.
  • Prior experience in Taft-Hartley trust administration.

Working Conditions/Physical Effort

  • Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
