Position Overview:
The Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) role is a key position within our Financial Planning and Analysis department located at our corporate headquarters.
This role leverages technical, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities to deliver precise, relevant, and timely financial insights for a diverse portfolio of communities and investments.
The SFA will spearhead the annual budgeting process for the designated portfolio, developing and maintaining essential templates and reports for the executive leadership team.Additionally, the SFA will prepare facility-level reports for executive leaders, which are utilized in monthly financial review meetings involving the SFA, executive leaders, and operators.
The SFA will also facilitate training sessions with administrators on the budget software tool and collaborate with facilities to address any challenges encountered in its use.
This position supports budget administrators and corporate executive management teams in effectively utilizing financial information. The SFA will demonstrate expertise in decision support by analyzing, producing, compiling, and presenting data to aid executive decision-making. The SFA will report directly to the Finance Manager.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and evaluate facility valuations, capital structures, and sources and uses documentation.
- Analyze income statements and other financial and operational reports to provide critical support to operations and development teams.
- Review monthly profit and loss statements with key stakeholders.- Assist in the preparation of annual operating budgets, forecasts, statistical reports, and cash flow projections.
- Evaluate financial data to assess current and future financial performance. Conduct return on investment analyses for various capital initiatives. Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and reasonableness of financial outcomes.
- Identify trends and recommend enhancements as necessary.
