Job Summary:

As an Interventional Radiology Technologist at Trinity Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

Key Responsibilities:

Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of radiographic and digital imaging equipment, ensuring safe patient care and optimal image quality.
Acquires and sends images to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), maintaining accurate and timely communication with the team.
Transports patients to and from procedural areas, admitting and recovery areas, and other hospital locations as needed, prioritizing patient comfort and safety.
Assists with patient transfer to and from procedure tables and stretchers, promoting efficient and respectful care.
Establishes and maintains ongoing communication with physician operators throughout procedures, ensuring patient safety, diagnosis, and treatment.
Demonstrates a willingness to learn new procedures and coordinates in-service education for colleagues as needed, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
Administers contrast media under physician direction, recognizing signs of contrast reactions and responding appropriately with corrective action.
Systematically reviews patient history, physical, lab values, prior imaging, and correlates invasive procedure protocols with patient physiological status, communicating findings to physician operators and team members.

Requirements:

Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved Diagnostic Radiology program.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Ability to respond on-site within 30 minutes during on-call rotations.
Florida Licensed Radiologic Technologist, Radiography credentialing through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R) (ARRT).
