Job Summary

Sigma is seeking a highly skilled Athletic Trainer to join our team in Mauston, WI. As a key member of our sports medicine team, you will provide medical care and support to active individuals of all ages and backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cover Athletic Events: Provide medical coverage for athletic events and after-school activities at a contracted high school.
  • Injury Prevention and Management: Conduct thorough evaluations, diagnose injuries, and develop plans of action to prevent and manage athletic injuries.
  • Concussion Management: Assess, diagnose, and manage concussions, ensuring safe return to activity for athletes.
  • Documentation and Communication: Accurately document treatments and evaluations, and communicate findings and plans with athletes, parents, and coaches.
  • Occupational Health and Rehab Services: Provide occupational health and rehab services, including POETs, desk assessments, and FPNs.
  • Functional Progress Assessments: Conduct functional progress assessments to determine safe return to work for patients.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements
  • BLS Certification: Possess current BLS certification.
