Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly skilled and experienced CRNA Anesthesia Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our anesthesia department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and Assist: Collaborate with the Chief of Service to supervise and assist certified registered nurse anesthetists in providing high-quality patient care.
- Anesthesia Administration: Administer intravenous, spinal, and other anesthetics prior to and during surgical or medical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor patient reactions and vital signs during and after anesthesia, and submit postoperative reports on patient condition.
- Department Leadership: Assist in developing schedules, department standards, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Quality Improvement: Identify and implement strategies to reduce costs and improve quality of care and service.
- Pre-Anesthesia Evaluations: Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations, formulate anesthesia plans, and ensure thorough documentation according to policies and standards.
- Patient Education: Explain tests, procedures, and disease processes to patients and their families, and document patient education.
- Airway Management: Evaluate patients to identify apparent difficulties with airway control, start IV solutions, and administer anesthetics as needed.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and complete records of procedures performed and patient conditions, according to established standards.
- Education: Graduated from an accredited school of anesthesia.
- License and Certification: Registered Nurse License (California), Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (California) required at hire, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Life Support, and National Provider Identifier required at hire.
- Experience: Supervisory experience preferred, Masters degree preferred.
