Job Summary

The Radiologic Technologist II is a key member of the imaging team at Kettering Health, responsible for performing a wide range of radiographic examinations using both fixed and portable equipment. This role requires additional training in imaging in the surgical suite, sterile field protection, and radiation safety.

Responsibilities
  • Perform radiographic examinations using various equipment, including c-arms and portable units.
  • Work under limited supervision, exercising independent judgment and initiative.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide high-quality patient care, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Assist in other areas during low-volume periods, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
Requirements
  • Registered as a Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Valid Ohio License as a Radiographer.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with regular exposure to ionizing radiation.
  • Physical stamina to perform long periods of standing, bending, and lifting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with mobile units and portable C-arm machines.
  • Ability to learn new procedures and operate new equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
