Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Bronson Methodist Hospital. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Perform ultrasound examinations on patients of all ages, including pediatric and adult patients, to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper function and safety.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans, taking into account the patient's medical history, physical condition, and other relevant factors.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and radiologists, to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical imaging technologies and techniques, attending workshops and conferences as needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Must hold RDCS or CCI registry from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
  • Strong experience and skills in Pediatrics and Adults needed.
  • Call Requirement: After hours standby one day per weekdays (M - F) and weekends (Friday evening to Monday at 0700) every fourth or fifth weekend. Additional pediatric only standby once a month weekend coverage.
  • Weekend Requirement: Every fourth to fifth weekend per dept rotation – happens in conjunction with call requirement.
  • Float Requirement: Inpatient and outpatient medical practice settings at BMH.

  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support: AHA only. Required for all ED at BMH and all RRTs at BMH.
