Join Our Team as a Financial Project Analyst

This position offers a unique chance to contribute to the establishment and expansion of the project accounting division within a dynamic construction firm. We are in search of a candidate with robust financial analysis capabilities and a solid accounting foundation. Proficiency in Excel is essential for this role.

Compensation: $65,000 - $85,000 annually
Shift: First
Work Hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
Education Requirement: Associate Degree

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and execute financial initiatives and projects within the organization.
  • Generate financial reports by gathering data to assess job costs between the accounting system and job cost software; oversee job cost specifics and make necessary adjustments.
  • Analyze under/over billings and costs to complete.
  • Formulate strategies for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting as the company continues to expand.
  • Assess the financial performance of the organization and collaborate closely with the finance director on insights.
  • Assist in the monthly reporting of Work in Progress.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and team members to conduct financial reviews and analyses for project evaluation meetings.
  • Execute weekly journal entries for labor and equipment expenses.
  • Oversee subcontracts and manage subcontract change orders.

Required Skills:

  • Financial Analysis (minimum of 3 years of experience preferred)
  • Proficiency in VLOOKUP
  • Experience with Pivot Tables
  • Advanced Excel skills including "If" statements
  • Knowledge of Construction Accounting

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3 years
  • Experience Level: Experienced
