Medical Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team at University Hospitals. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in facilitating unit operations by managing patient flow. Your responsibilities will include managing front desk duties specific to the department, including scheduling patients, collecting and verifying patient payor information, and other patient documentation.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year or more of clinical experience as a Medical Assistant, with completion of a Medical Assistant Program required and certification as a Medical Assistant preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage patient flow to ensure efficient unit operations
- Perform front desk duties, including scheduling patients and verifying patient information
- Collect and process patient payments and insurance information
Compensation: The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. This is a full-time position with competitive benefits and opportunities for growth and development.
