Key Responsibilities- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address interpersonal or family issues that impact school performance.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and services provided.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) as needed.
- Attend IEP team meetings and participate in other team meetings as necessary.
- Provide case management functions for students, including coordination of parent meetings and emergency transportation requests.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and district personnel to find effective solutions to learning and behavior problems.
- Master's degree or higher in social work or a related field.
- Meet all state and district licensing and/or credential requirements.
- Prior experience working as a social worker in an education setting.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
