The role of the CT Imaging Specialist is pivotal in the realm of diagnostic imaging. This position entails conducting diagnostic CT and radiographic examinations while prioritizing image quality, patient safety, and overall satisfaction for both patients and physicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute all CT examinations in accordance with established protocols.
  • Conduct radiographic examinations adhering to the set standards.
  • Evaluate each examination for technical precision and relay essential information to the healthcare team post-procedure.
  • Oversee the inventory of medical supplies and ensure cleanliness in the examination area.
  • Verify patient identity, review examination orders, and confirm the accuracy of demographic data.
  • Maintain effective communication with patients, families, physicians, colleagues, and the healthcare team.
  • Comply with departmental policies, safety regulations, environmental standards, and infection control measures.
  • Utilize Vail Health's HIS and PACS systems for accurate patient documentation.
  • Embody the principles of a Just Culture and uphold Organizational Values.
  • Meet the physical demands typically associated with the healthcare environment.
Qualifications
  • Preferred: Minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Required: ARRT certification with Computed Tomography (CT) credentials.
  • Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Must acquire necessary computer skills within 90 days for job-specific competencies.
  • Proficiency in the English language is essential.
