Rochester General Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Travel Nurse RN to join our team in the SANDS MICU. As a critical care travel nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the MICU, including those with acute PE, sepsis, COVID, hypothermia, hyponatremia, subdural hematoma, COPD, and Hypertension.
- Administer medications, including blood products, and perform various medical procedures, such as intubation, chest tubes, and thoracotomy.
- Monitor and manage patients' vital signs, including arterial blood gases, and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Participate in code blue and rapid response team activations.
- Float to other units as needed to ensure adequate staffing.
- Work every other weekend, with occasional night shifts.
- 2 years of ICU experience required.
- AHA: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification required.
- Travel experience preferred.
- EPIC experience a plus.
- Specialty: SANDS MICU.
