Position Overview

At WelbeHealth, our mission revolves around providing exceptional care for our participants through a dedicated interdisciplinary team (IDT). The Physical Therapist plays a vital role in this team, contributing to the development of personalized care plans and collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals.

The primary focus of the Physical Therapist is to deliver comprehensive restorative and rehabilitative services to participants both at our facility and in their homes. Working alongside the Primary Care Physician and rehabilitation team, the Physical Therapist aims to enhance participant independence and safety while fostering functional recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough Physical Therapy evaluations in various settings to identify the care needs, preferences, and objectives of participants.
  • Engage actively in IDT meetings to formulate tailored care strategies for participants.
  • Implement and document Physical Therapy interventions in alignment with physician directives and participant care plans.
  • Administer both active and passive therapeutic exercises, muscle re-education, gait training, and activities of daily living (ADLs) support; utilize modalities such as massage, heat, sound, water, light, or electrical stimulation.
  • Oversee the Therapy Assistants, providing essential training and guidance for the execution of Functional Maintenance Programs (FMP).
  • Educate staff, participants, and caregivers on the proper use and maintenance of therapeutic equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
  • Possession of a valid California Physical Therapy License or proof of eligibility.
  • Preferred experience includes at least two (2) years in a clinical environment serving frail or elderly populations.
  • Internationally obtained physical therapy degrees must be evaluated for equivalency to US standards.
  • Current CPR certification is preferred.

Salary range for this position is $99,309.58—$119,171.49 annually, plus bonuses and equity. WelbeHealth provides a competitive rewards package that encompasses 401k matching, healthcare coverage, and a variety of other benefits. Actual compensation will be adjusted based on experience and qualifications.
