Position Summary:
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for executing preventive maintenance, conducting repairs, and managing the installation and removal of equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on mechanical systems
- Identify malfunctions through careful observation
- Repair damaged or malfunctioning machine components
- Execute emergency repairs as needed
- Align and calibrate machinery
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Install and repair mechanical systems
- Ensure compliance with safety standards
- Install various fittings and components
- Handle pipe work including cutting, grinding, and assembly
- Assist with various maintenance tasks
- Participate in fire watch and safety monitoring
- Complete additional duties as assigned
Supervisory Role: None
Qualifications Required:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in industrial maintenance or mechanical roles, or equivalent vocational training
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and perform diverse tasks
- Strong multitasking skills and capability to work independently
- Pass a post-offer pre-employment drug screening and background checks
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Willingness to travel to various job sites as required
Work Environment:
- Exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions
- Potential for high noise levels
- Possible exposure to fumes and airborne particles
- May require work in confined spaces or at heights
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent use of construction equipment and tools
- Must be clean-shaven to wear a respirator
- Ability to climb, bend, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must have good vision and color recognition
Travel Requirements:
- Occasional travel may be necessary (typically not overnight)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous military experience
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
