At ManTech, we're seeking a highly motivated and career-oriented Senior Database Administrator to join our team in the Aberdeen, MD area. This is an onsite position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support multiple PostgreSQL and MS SQL Server database management systems for various applications on the DCGS-A program.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the integrity, security, and high availability of these DBMS.
- Administer PostgreSQL databases in Linux and Windows environments.
- Set up, monitor, and maintain PostgreSQL instances.
- Perform hands-on database administration and performance tuning for Postgres and SQL Server.
- Certify the availability and performance of databases supporting our systems, ensuring sufficient resources for high resilience and speed.
- Assist developers in performance tuning and proactively monitor database systems for secure services with minimal downtime.
- Implement database maintenance, including rollouts, patching, and upgrades.
- Work with Database DISA STIGs.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or other Engineering or Technical discipline.
- 5+ years of relevant test engineering experience within the last 8 years.
Security Clearance Requirements:
- Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
