Position Summary:
As a Packaging Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accurate placement of products into their designated cases and cartons, adhering to customer specifications while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Packaging Accuracy:
- Ensure precise counts according to specifications.
- Verify that UPCs, case labels, weights, and codes align with the production schedule.
Food Safety and Quality Assurance:
- Comply with GMP, HACCP, and OSHA regulations to guarantee safe and high-quality products.
- Execute product changeovers as per specifications.
- Conduct daily and weekend cleaning tasks.
- Complete necessary documentation accurately.
Weekly Duties:
- Perform weekly and weekend cleaning of equipment and surrounding areas.
- Utilize cleaning chemicals safely.
- Consistently wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Additional Responsibilities:
- Carry out any additional tasks assigned by supervision.
- Participate in all mandatory training sessions.
- Be available for overtime as needed.
- Adhere to Good Housekeeping Practices (GHP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Work towards achieving and maintaining GFSI & BRC certifications.
Qualifications:
Required:
- General education.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively.
Preferred:
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Further education is advantageous.
