We are seeking a highly skilled Dialysis Technician to join our team at Mount Sinai Hospital. As a Dialysis Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient preparation and operation of dialysis equipment for our Renal Service section.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare dialysis equipment for operation, verifying sterility and integrity of machinery and equipment.
- Prepare solutions and mixes for dialysis treatments, following established procedures and guidelines.
- Initiate and monitor the operation of reverse osmosis systems, ensuring effective treatment.
- Assist with patient transfers and transportation, and obtain and record patient weights.
- Perform daily maintenance of dialysis machinery, including cleaning, sterilizing, and repairing equipment.
- Assist in maintaining supply and stock levels of necessary department replacement equipment, solutions, and miscellaneous forms and supplies.
- High school education or equivalent required.
- At least six months prior training or experience in Hemodialysis procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other hospital staff.
- Physical strength necessary for lifting and transporting patients and supplies.
